Week 7: Elevator Pitch No. 2

1). YouTube link:

2). Almost all of my feedback seemed pretty similar. Everyone seemed to like my idea overall and the majority of comments said how unique it was. The thing that surprised me the most was how many people said how much they enjoyed my passion. Since I struggle with a dietary restriction myself, I do understand many of the everyday struggles, and I’m glad that the personal element translated in some way. No feedback was outright wrong in my opinion. All very positive and encouraging comments.

3). I changed my introduction/attention grabber to be more relatable. Everyone likes to eat, so I highlighted the importance of taste, somewhat healthy options, and price to make it more applicable to everyone. One person also commented to potentially add a fresh food or produce section which I really liked, so I incorporated that as well.

  1. So Michelle, I like your idea and in presentation it sounds good and all, but this is not original what so ever. I can promise you that there are apps that will do this for people. In fact there are multiple apps that do exactly what you want to incorporate. SO that means your idea is good because it is already being done, but you need to somehow make it different. 2. Michelle! I love your professionalism and pronunciation. Really stood out. I also love your idea. Your idea appeals to a different population on campus that often gets over looked. I like how your grocery store is made for their own diet restrictions. These students should not be left out, and have to live any differently than the rest of the UF population. The only think I would give you as advice is saying the store would be cheap, because these types of foods are quite pricey, and if you sell the food cheap, there will be no profit for your store. 3. Michelle, I think your idea is a very good one. I thought your passion was clearly seen in the pitch. I think your idea a great one because the fact is there are not options available you are offering on campus. Students look for convenience and would prefer health alternatives or have certain dietary restrictions that are not accessible easily. I believe when it comes to dietary restrictions people are willing to pay for it as long as it is convenient. So that needs to be the push regarding convenience and accessibility (only in my opinion).

Here is the link to my blog, but great pitch. http://sonjasevolution.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2_17.html

  5. I love your enthusiasm and professionalism in this pitch. You conveyed the idea really well and I wasn't left with any questions about your service after watching the video. This is great because an elevator pitch is supposed to touch on all the main points of your product/service. I think your idea is great because our generation is starting to be more health-conscious. This idea would not only cater to those who want to eat healthier, but those who need to eat gluten/vegan/vegetarian/etc options.
