1). My opportunity is people
with certain dietary restrictions such as being Kosher, vegetarian, gluten
free, or diabetic. I personally was recently diagnosed with Interstitial
Cystitis, which drastically reduced my already picky diet. Especially as a
college student, quality options are already limited as it is. Often, not only
are many of these foods harder to find, but also much more expensive.
2). My solution is cheap
campus grocery stores, similar to the POD, that specialize in foods for those
who have dietary restrictions. Geared specifically toward college students,
these would help provide access to groceries and other conveniences at a lower
price. Instead of DIE-it, my company name would be LIVE-it because it is an
assortment of groceries and other foods that would make you feel like you are
living life normally again.
Another important thing I
would like to include is that as I mentioned in my video, foods that meet the
needs of these sectors don’t have to be gross and boring. Just because they
meet the needs of one segment doesn’t mean everyone can’t enjoy their benefits
as well.
Hi Michelle, I absolutely love your opportunity concept! I eat plant-based and gluten free which makes it incredibly difficult to find food pretty much everywhere I go... If only more people shared our view on this :) Also, awesome name!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI think this is a really good idea. I have friends who are gluten free and I think that even people such as myself without dietary restrictions would be interested for some healthier, cheaper options. You conducted yourself very well in your elevator pitch and i love that you are so enthusiastic and creative with the name of your business! ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
ReplyDeleteAlthough I can't personally relate to that need, I definitely like your idea. I think that if more healthy options were available, more people would choose them anyway, which would be positive for everyone on campus. It's great that you're thinking about entrepreneurial ideas that are related to your specific needs and interests, as that will encourage you to be more enthusiastic about them, and the business ideas will be better as a result.
